Lenovo F1 in Schools 2024 UK National Finals
March 12th - March 14th
Magna Science Adventure Centre
The Lenovo F1 in Schools 2024 UK National Finals will see the top teams from across the nation compete for a place on the F1 in Schools’ podium, and a chance to be crowned our National Champions!
The event is the culmination of an extensive series of F1 in Schools regional finals, which take place across England, Scotland and Wales from November 2023 to March 2024. Following these localised events, the top teams from each region came together over this three-day event to showcase their work in designing, manufacturing, and branding miniature F1 cars; as well as racing them on a 20-metre racetrack.
Held at the fantastic Magna Science Adventure Centre in Rotherham, this famous former steelworks will make for a spectacular backdrop to the event. Now converted into an interactive educational space with over 100 hands-on science and technology exhibits, the competition will be a celebration of STEM education both on and off the track.
As a special treat, all event attendees will enjoy an exclusive up-to-70% discount on all tickets to Magna. This means that teachers and students can visit the centre for just £5.00 each (usually £17.95). The link to purchase tickets at this amazing price will be provided in your booking confirmation email from F1 in Schools UK.

"F1 in Schools has changed my life completely, as through my role, I've improved both my management skills and technical ability and have truly learned what it takes to be a leader in engineering.
Becoming the F1 in Schools National Champions with Golden Motorsports was a dream come true for all of us and has given us the chance to represent the UK at the next F1 in Schools World Finals. Growing up with F1 in Schools has allowed the team to receive scholarships, gain valuable experience in Formula One, and prepare us for our future careers."

The Categories
Developed to be accessible to all students, and to encourage and progress learning, the F1 in Schools competition is segmented into different categories which are tailored to Key Stages of the national curriculum. These are Professional Class (KS4/5), Development Class (KS3/4), Entry Class (KS3), and Primary Class (KS2).
Development Class
Many teams progress to Development Class from Entry Class, and it is in this category where they really get to grips with Computer Aided Design and Manufacturing, the Enterprise element of the competition, as well as contending with more advanced technical regulations; making it the ideal platform to progress into Professional Class.
