Grants

Grants for schools for mathematics enrichment activity

The Ri E&E grants scheme will make 60 grants of up to £500 available to teachers of mathematics to choose activities from the STEM Directories (http://www.stemdirectories.org.uk/) in 2011. It provides an exciting opportunity to initiate mathematics enrichment and enhancement (E&E) activities in their schools and help integrate E&E into their curricular practice. We welcome applications from all schools, with preference being given to state-funded schools that have not had external mathematics enrichment activities in the past two years.

Grants of up to £500 and guidance on choosing activities listed in the online STEM Directories (http://www.stemdirectories.org.uk/) are being offered by the Royal Institution, funded by The Clothworkers' Foundation. The scheme is designed to raise awareness and use of enrichment activities and to support your professional development, whilst enhancing the mathematical experience in your school.

There are a limited number of grants and these will be allocated at two stages. The deadline for applications is as follows.

Round 1:  Friday, 18 February, 2011

Round 2:  Friday, 27 May, 2011
