Enter your F1 in Schools Team into the National Science & Engineering Competition via an online entry form before Monday 31 October 2011
The National Science & Engineering Competition runs between the 15th and 16th March at the Big Bang Fair 2012 held at the Birmingham NEC. Any 11-18 year old UK resident in full time secondary education (including home education) can enter the National Science & Engineering Competition. Projects from all areas of science, technology, engineering and maths created in lessons or as part of a club and those carried out by individuals or teams in their own time are all eligible.
The National Science & Engineering Competition operates with two separate streams, one for science and mathematics and another for engineering and technology. On the online entry form you will be asked to tick a box identifying whether your entry is for science/maths or engineering/technology. Projects are judged within their stream and age category, i.e. those in Junior Science/Maths will only compete against others within that same group, and they will not be judged against, for example, those in Junior Engineering/Technology or Intermediate Science/Maths etc. In the same way, all the core prizes will be offered within streams and age categories. The engineering/technology category focuses on projects based on concept, design, development and manufacture which fits perfectly with your F1 in Schools cars.
