Achieve 3 'A's at A Level, 3 'A' grade Advanced Highers, 5 'A' grade Highers or an International Baccalaureate Diploma at 36 points or above and join an IET accredited engineering or technology degree course in Autumn 2013 and you will be entitled to an IET scholarship of £1000 per year during your studies, up to a maximum of £3000 for Bachelors students and £4000 for MEng students.

Criteria

Students who meet the minimum criteria will be entitled to an IET scholarship of £1000 per year for the duration of their degree course, up to a maximum of £3000 for Bachelors students and £4000 for MEng students.  Entrants must:
■Have achieved 3 'A' grades at A-level, 3 'A' grade Advanced Highers, 5 'A' grade Highers or an International Baccalaureate Diploma at 36 points or above. No other equivalent qualifications are eligible.
■Be embarking on the first year of an IET accredited BEng or MEng programme in Autumn 2013
■Be a UK resident
■Not be in receipt of another IET scholarship or IET grant.

 

Key dates
■Applications by 27 June 2013
■Supporting documentation by 21 August 2013 (A level, Advanced Highers or Highers results transcripts  & UCAS confirmation)
■Decision: October 2013
■First payments: October 2013.

 

Subsequent annual payments will depend on progressing to the next stage of the programme with an average mark of 60% or above. Successful students will also be required to provide updates on their career to the IET after graduation.

 

Please note all of the following deadlines as late submissions will not be eligible.
■ Deadline for online submission: 27 June 2013, by 17:00 BST
■ Deadline for upload of 'A' level, Advanced Highers or Highers results: 21 August 2013 by 17:00 BST
■ Deadline for upload of UCAS confirmation letters: 21 August 2013 by 17:00 BST

 

Candidates who have completed their submissions by 27 June 2013 will be invited to upload a scanned copy of their results and UCAS confirmation by 21 August 2013 and add their confirmed grades to the form. All supporting documents must be attached to the online application form by the deadlines above.

Posted or faxed hard copy and/or incomplete documents will not be considered.
