Thousands of children, young and old, raced F1 in Schools cars over the bank holiday weekend. Coventry Schools competed for the Coventry City College F1 Trophy and did lots of imagineering at the Town & Country Festival.

Yet another successful Imagineering Fair at the Town and Country Festival passes, with over 2000 F1 races counted down on our minature Grand Prix track! This year as well as the many visitors to the show, we had Bluecoat School, Foxford School, Westwood School and Cardinal Wiseman School, all from the Coventry area competiting for the City College Coventry Annual Trophy for 2005.

All the schools, fort hard and fast with their varied designs, how ever it was was Cardinal Wiseman's - Car 1 raced by Kieran Harrington a budding engineer (and a wizard on the computer) who won the trophy.

The rest of the show was exeptional, with a variety of hands on activities and displays from big names in engineering such as IMI, CAT and Jaguar Cars. Jaguar Cars had a series of vehicles on display including the a prototype of the new XK.

The new XK is certainly inspiration for any designer or engineer, take a closer look for yourself on Jaguar Car's website http://www.jaguar.co.uk/uk/en/vehicles/concept_cars/overview.htm it really is rather lovely! Swoon swoon.

Also, some of Jaguar Car's engineers where on hand to give our F1 in Schools teams some advice on the design and aerodynamics of their cars. All in all it was great, and the weather was excellent too!
