Yes a school/organisation can register up to 3 teams

How many students can be in a team?

A team must consist of between 3 and 6 team members.

How much does it cost?

The cost to enter the F1 in Schools Technology Challenge regional final is £75 + VAT per team. This entry fee is non-refundable and must be paid in full before your regional final date.

Do we have to compete at a regional final?

No you can still take part in F1 in Schools within school, but please let us know that you are doing the project even if you decide not to compete.

Does our car have to be made from the Official F1 Model Block?

This is the only material that will be accepted at the F1 in Schools World Finals commencing 2015. Teams competing in the UK 2015-16 season will be eligible to use either the Balsa Wood Block or the F1 Model Block, however from 2016 onwards teams will only be permitted to use the F1 Model Block.

How old do you have to be?

F1 in Schools is open to anyone aged 5 – 19 years old. There are 4 classes of entry; Formula One Class aimed at 11-19 year olds, Rookie Class aimed at 11-15 year olds from new schools, The Bloodhound SSC Primary Challenge aimed at 9-11 year olds and the The Jaguar Primary School Challenge aimed at 5-11 year olds.
