Below are a selection of frequently asked questions which hopefully will answer any quiresyou have before getting in touch. If however you have a different question or issue then listed below, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
Q1. How much does it cost to take part?
A1. Free – There is not registration cost to school taking part in the challenge
Q2. How do we register to take part?
A2. JPSC is by invitation only, please contact F1 in Schools (firstname.lastname@example.org) if you would like to know more about being involved.
Q3. What support would we receive from JPSC?
A3. Each school is given training on how to design and manufacture the car by the project co-ordinator. Schools are also paired up with Jaguar Land Rover Graduate Mentors (Registered STEM Ambassadors) to work with and support both you and the team throughout the challenge.
Q4. When does the challenge run?
A4. The challenge runs from September through to June. The regional finals will be held through your secondary school hub during March, May & June with the UK National Final taking place at the end of June.
Q5. Can I enter more than one team?
A5. Yes absolutely, we encourage you to run the challenge with you whole class or even year group and hold a “sub-regional” final first to select you best teams to go through and compete at the actual regional final. Depending on available space at the regional final teams will be permitting to enter up to 3 teams per school (Some regional may be able to accommodate more).
