Imagineering Success
Dated: 05/06/2005
The 3rd South West Imagineering Fair was a resounding success yet again, despite the weather!
From the 1st-4th June F1 in Schools in association with Avon Vale Training ran a track at the Imagineering Fair which is now a very valuable part of the Royal Bath and West show held at Shepton Mallet show ground each year..
The Imagineering Fair is run by a charitable foundation set-up to enthuse students about engineering. F1 in Schools along with the REME, Rolls Royce, Airbus, RAF, John Cabot Technology College, WEAF, Fleet Air Museum and a number of other engineering organisations and colleges had stands in the Imagineering tent, all running free hands-on activities and displays for the general public.
Those people who attended the event had the opportunity to make, test and race their own D-Type car thanks to Avon Vale Training who kindly brought their router, wind tunnel and track along to the event.
Everyone who attended seemed to have a great time and we hope that some of them will get invovled in the Challenge in the future.
